Easy Car Drawings Easy Car Drawings Step by Step

Easy car drawing is a fun activity that kids of all ages will enjoy. A car is one of the most common objects that children see every day. Aside from this, play cars are popular toys among boys and girls alike. Plus, cars are featured in different movies and TV shows for young viewers. It's no wonder that budding artists are excited to draw cars.

The great thing about drawing cars is that children can draw whatever they want. They can make their sketch of a sports car look as realistic as possible. They can also make their imagination fly as they invent their own cartoon car.

Do you want to teach your kids or students how to draw a car, yet you're not sure what to do because you're not a professional artist? We have created this easy car drawing tutorial for parents and teachers like you.

All you need to do is to prepare basic art materials. Make sure to have a pencil, eraser, crayons or colored pencils, and a piece of paper on hand.

How Do You Draw a Simple Car Step-by-Step?

It is possible for you and your kids to draw a simple car step-by-step. Follow the easy instructions to start drawing cars with the young artists in your life:

Step 1: Draw Circles

Draw two small circles in the lower part of the paper. Make sure that the circles are a few inches away from each other. Both small circles will serve as the inner portion of the car wheels.

If you are having a hard time forming a perfect circle, you can trace a small coin or use a compass to draw the circles.

Step 2: Draw the Tires and Spokes

Draw big circles around the small circles to create the outer portion of the tires. Add lines radiating from the small circles towards the big circles to make spokes for the wheels.

Step 3: Add Details

Make a long rectangle to form a bumper that connects the wheels. On top of the bumper, draw the outline of the body of the car. Sketch a bigger, curved line to create the roof and a small curved line to form the hood. Connect these two downward curved lines to each other.

Add the windows by drawing curved lines which follow the roof outline. Connect the ends with a right angle line.

Step 4: Add the Windshield Wipers and Headlights

Add windshield wipers by adding slanted lines in front of the windshield area. Make headlights and taillights by drawing half circle shapes in the front and back sections of the car above the bumper.

Step 5: Shade

If you and your children are planning on making a monochromatic drawing, shade the dark portions of the car using a pencil.

Step 6: Color

If you and your young ones prefer to make a colored drawing, color the car using crayons or colored pencils.
